We have always invested heavily in educating our plan participants on the intricacies of their employer's benefit package. This may occur in many forms: employee group meetings or individual consultations with the employee. We make ourselves readily available to our employer contacts and/or their employees.
A consultant's job is to take the necessary time to educate their clients on the details of their benefits package and help them get the most from their health plan. Some view this as an overwhelming challenge, but we do not. We enjoy educating our clients and are continuously striving to improve our communication and educational materials.
The health care message can be a complicated one, but it doesn't have to be with the right consultant.
